We offer waterproofs, merino layers, boots, and essential gear chosen for wet and changeable British weather.

Can I contact you with questions before buying?

Tested gear for British weather

  • Beck Trail Shoe

The Beck Trail Shoe is a low-cut, lightweight trail shoe designed for dry rock and hard paths. It features a sticky rubber outsole for excellent grip and is light enough for running.

  • Cairn Merino Base Layer

The Cairn Merino Base Layer is a 200gsm merino wool crew neck designed for warmth even when wet. It features flat seams to prevent rubbing from rucksack straps and can be worn for multiple days without odor.

  • Crag Walking Trouser

Crag Walking Trouser is a four-way stretch softshell hiking pant with water-repellent finish and zipped thigh pockets. It dries quickly and packs compactly.

  • Drift Waterproof Overtrouser

Drift Waterproof Overtrouser is a fully taped waterproof overtrouser with full-length side zips for easy wear over boots. It packs into its own pocket for convenience.

  • Ember Head Torch

The Ember Head Torch is a rechargeable 400 lumen head torch featuring a red night mode and a lock to prevent accidental activation. It offers up to 40 hours of burn time on low.

  • Fell Merino Beanie

The Fell Merino Beanie is a fine-gauge merino hat designed to keep you warm even when damp. It is soft and non-itchy, and can be rolled into a pocket without creasing.

We test everything ourselves before we stock it, so you can rely on your kit when the weather turns. Our selection is for real British hill days, not showpiece expeditions.
